Chapter IV available in Mediris Recipe

Last month we announced that Mediris obtained accreditation for the eHealth application Chapter IV. Today we are very happy to inform you that this functionality is now available in Mediris Recipe.

What is Chapter IV?

Various medicines are only reimbursed after approval by an advisory physician of the insurance institution. This system is reimbursement under Chapter IV. Previously, the application for reimbursement of such medication was only possible with paper forms, but from now on it can also be done digitally via Mediris Recipe.

Thanks to this integration, you as a doctor can consult ongoing agreements digitally in Mediris Recipe. If you prescribe relevant medication, Mediris Recipe will immediately indicate whether there is already an ongoing agreement. You can also request a new agreement, after which you immediately receive a response from the health insurance fund: an agreement, a refusal or the notification that the request is being processed by the advisory physician.

Advantages

• Managing all requests runs more smoothly thanks to a clear overview of all requests per patient.
• In addition, you no longer have to use paper documents, so you can submit a request from any location, as long as you have an internet connection.
• Because everything is digital, you no longer have to spend time sending documents.
• Digital requests are processed with priority over paper requests.

Preparation

To be able to request and consult the agreements, you need to have a therapeutic relationship with the patient. If this is not yet the case, you can create it directly in Mediris by dragging the patient’s eID onto the screen or by manually entering the eID card number.
